The changes from r811 contain a typo in the symbols.sym creation causing the install target to fail.

The install target also doesn't use $DESTDIR causing out of tree builds (like Debian package builds) to fail.

The changes in r801 make main.cfg into a template, but configure.ac is not updated to create main.cfg from main.cfg.in.

The following code fragment in service_internal.c parses the Range=[min,max] attribute of LiteralData? variables, but does not terminate the MinimumValue? string. It also gives a wrong result if there are trailing white spaces in the MaximumValue? string.
